I certainly hope that you enjoyed
watching the video, “What the Health”. It was filled with a plethora of vitally
good information. Also, I wish to thank those of you who shared the post.
This week, I’m in the midst of another
battle. It is obvious to each of us that picking the right battles to fight are
of the utmost importance, because there is no way that anyone can or should win
every battle, in which he or she engages. However, when you earnestly believe
that you are on the side of right, the only thing that makes sense to me is to
never give up the struggle.
Therefore, in light of my philosophy
regarding conflict, I’m posting a poem of encouragement to those of you who
might be facing the same thing. The title of the poem is Don’t Quit. There is controversy about who the real author might
be, so I won’t list a name. However, please enjoy the sentiments of this
reading.
When things go wrong, as they
sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems
all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts
are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to
sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and
turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it
out.
Don't give up though the pace seems
slow -
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's
cup;
And he learned too late when the night
came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint in the clouds of
doubt,
And you never can tell how close you
are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're
hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you
must not quit.
Keep the faith my
friends; until I check in again with you next week, please take the time to
re-visit my webpage. I’ve updated a few things.
