This egg illustration is designed to help explain the plurality/threesomeness of God. Despite the fact that there is only one egg, there are three parts: shell, albumen and yolk. It does not matter, which part is used, it is ALL EGG. Hence, we have the eggshell, egg albumen and egg yolk. Three different parts; three different functions, but all still EGG. So it is with the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All three have different functions, yet, they are united in purpose, love and the salvation of mankind.

Additionally, God wants us to enter into relationship with each of us. As we enter into that relationship, we will better understand how these different Spiritual beings function on an individual basis in our lives. Each has His own role, yet they work uniformly to bring about our salvation. Some have looked upon the Trinity as the Father being the overseer; Jesus being the eternal sacrifice for mankind (the lamb) and the Holy Spirit as being man’s intercessor and connection to heaven. However, together, they work for mankind’s salvation.

Following are a series of Scriptural texts, designed to show how the three entities/beings work unitedly, as well as, in different functions. It is the prayer of the author and transcriptionist, that the reader will be both blessed and enlightened.

1.      Genesis 1: 26-27:  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

²⁷ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (All three persons of the Godhead is present during creation – Elohim)

2.      Deuteronomy 6:4: Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: (The godhead, make up ONE deity, composed of THREE entities/beings)

3.      Matthew 28:18-19: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Jesus is giving this command, based upon His authority as one in the Godhead)

¹⁹ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (Jesus is describing those who make up the Godhead. Working in unison, having persons baptized in the name of all three, certifies the baptized and gives the baptized one entry into the kingdom of God, along with untold blessings)

4.      John 10:30:  I and my Father are one. (Jesus testifies to the oneness of the Godhead)

5.      Colossians 1:19: For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; (God the father was pleased to have Jesus come and represent the family of the Godhead)

6.      Colossians 2:9:  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (Another testimony of Jesus’ personhood)

7.      Isaiah 6:8: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. (Isaiah shows the plurality of the Godhead – “US”)

8.      Ephesians 4:4-6: There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

⁵ One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

⁶ One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

9.      II Corinthians 13:14:  The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (All three are presented here)

10.  II Corinthians 1:21-22: Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

²² Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. (All three are presented here, again)

11.  I Peter 1:2: Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. (All three are presented here, again)

12.  I John 3:16: Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. (It states that God/Jesus, laid down His life for us)

13.  John 3:16:  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Unity of the Father and Jesus)

Some additional Scriptures to consider, which point out Jesus’ position as God, are listed below.

Initially, only God can forgive sins; Jesus forgave sins and was accused of blasphemy. Matthew 9:1-6 – “But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.”

1.       Genesis 1:1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

(Jesus, as part of the Godhead, is present and is credited with the creation of heaven and earth)

2.      Colossians 1:16-19:  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: (Again, Jesus, the creator is God)

¹⁷ And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

¹⁹ For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

3.      John 1:14:  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (Jesus, the WORD, was with the Godhead.)

² The same was in the beginning with God. (Jesus was in the beginning)

³ All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (Jesus is created with having created ALL things.)

⁴ In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (Only in Jesus, can you find the “light” of truth)

⁵ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (Despite the fact that Jesus’ presence shone upon mankind, they failed to recognize Him)

⁶ There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

⁷ The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

⁸ He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

⁹ That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

¹⁰ He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. (Jesus, God, was in the physical world and mankind just didn’t  “get it”)

¹¹ He came unto his own, and his own received him not. (Jesus, God, was born into the ethnicity of people, whom He had assigned to be the “keepers of the law of God”; a called out people)

¹² But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

¹³ Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (Jesus, as part of the Godhead, took the assignment of Savior, and was born of a woman, by the will of God/the Godhead)

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (Jesus, God-the Word, was made flesh and dwelled among mankind)

4.      Isaiah 9:6-7:  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah had predicted the coming of Jesus; he even referred to Him as the Everlasting Father… or God)

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

5.      Revelation 19:11-16:  (This Scripture describes the second coming of Jesus, the Christ, God) And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. (Jesus, The Word of God; just like in John 1:14)

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.(Jesus is now ready to deal with the nations; He has once suffered for sins, now as the Almighty God, He will rule with a rod of iron and execute God’s wrath)

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords. (Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords = God)
