Many Christians are celebrating
Easter this weekend, which is the transformed Old Testament Passover; however,
the lamb has already been offered 2,000 years ago and counting; there is no
more need for us to make sacrifices, hallelujah – Jesus paid it all! The tomb
is empty!
Appropriately enough,
people spent the entire weekend, beginning Friday, to start celebrating the
most outstanding act of love, in history. Jesus died on Friday (the preparation
day before the Sabbath), and was buried; he rested on the 7th day
Sabbath, Luke
23:46-56, and rose early Sunday morning, (the first day of the week) Luke
24:1-6. He has been alive ever since
and one day, the faithful will be caught up to meet Him, in the air and will
forever be with their Lord – I
Thessalonians 4:16-17.
However, does anyone
know how bunny rabbits and hunting colored eggs on Easter, factor into this wonderful
resurrection scenario? You don’t? Well, I’m glad that you asked! IT DOESN’T! ALL OF IT IS BOGUS!
“Easter is a religious
holiday, but some of its customs, such as Easter eggs, are… linked to pagan traditions. The egg, an ancient symbol of new life, has been associated with pagan
festivals celebrating spring. From a Christian perspective, [church leaders
would like you to believe that] Easter eggs… represent Jesus’ emergence from
the tomb and resurrection. Decorating eggs for Easter is a tradition that dates
back to at least the 13th century, according to some sources...” https://www.history.com/topics/holidays/easter-symbols
However, Easter egg
dying and hunting is just another deception perpetrated on innocent
worshippers, who have not taken the time, to study for themselves, the things
they need to believe – the things that are written in the Scriptures. Consequently,
just like the masses have accepted Sunday as the “Sabbath day of the Lord”, so
they have accepted this Easter-egg farce, as well.
Jesus, just before His crucifixion
warned his disciples against being deceived. He told them that there would be
many false teachers and prophets, even people proclaiming to be Him (there is one
now who claims to be the “Vicar of
Christ”; read it yourself. Matthew
24:4-5.
I have learned that as a
loyal follower of Jesus Christ, it is my job, my assignment, my duty, my
privilege to share with all who will listen, the truth of Jesus and the Bible.
I have been commissioned to do so. Matthew
28:18-20.
We will continue
discussing the Mark of the Beast, next time.
