Let the Sun Shine In

The second item on our list for the big eight is sunshine!

Because so many people have gotten sunburned over the years or have developed cancer, as a result of too much sun exposure, sunshine has gotten a bad rap. However, sunshine is the best and main provider of Vitamin D. Fifteen minutes of sunshine, per day will provide you with all of the vitamin D your body needs, as long as, you don’t have on any sunscreen.

Also, in that same amount of time, it will provide you with much needed calcium, which is great for the bones!

Exposing the eyes to the sun (don’t look directly at the sun), but keeping the eyes closed and looking up toward the sun for approximately one minute or so, releases nutrients into the eyes that positively impacts the brain for clearer thinking.

Therefore, rethink that sun exposure thing. Take it in small doses, but often and see if you don’t feel better.

Until next time…Bye
