The Alternative

If you read yesterday's blog post, you are familiar with the two words that I defined and contrasted: "Nescience" and "Ignorance".  If you’re not familiar, please read the last post before reading this one, it will clarify a great deal of what I’m about to say. Consider this as a continuation from the last post, because the next line in the poem, draws a contrast between whether people wish to continue to “ignore the truth” of the matter or do something different?

We always wish to leave you with an alternative; that’s what God does, and we seek to be like Him. Therefore, let us analyze line 21 – the alternative.

Line 20Will you on purpose continue being deceived? Listening to Satan like our Mother Eve?
Line 21: Or will you today earnestly seek, to worship the Savior – bow at His feet?

Only you can answer that question: will you, even today earnestly seek to worship the Savior? Well, you might ask, “Why should I worship Him? Who is this Savior that I should worship? And why on earth, do I need to bow at His feet?”

Allow me to answer you with the best tool I have available to me: the Holy Bible.

1. Perhaps the first answer should be directed to question #2, for points of clarity. “Who is this Savior that I should worship?” This Savior is Jesus (Matthew 1:21); the creator of heaven and earth (Colossians 1:14-17); the one who was with the Father God, in the beginning, before this world was created (John 1:1-3). Jesus, the one who was in counsel with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, when they decided to create you in their image (Genesis 1:26-27).

2. Now question #1, “Why should I worship Him?”  You should worship Him, because He is worthy of worship as the Creator of mankind and all things (Revelation 4:11; I John 5:3-5).  Also, Jesus is the designated Creator God, who would die on your behalf, after sin entered the world (Isaiah 53:10-12; Galatians 4:4-5), you see, the Law of God had been broken; the divine law (I John 3:4).

3. Question #3, “Why do I need to bow at His feet?” You need to bow at His feet because of the marvelous and loving sacrifice He made on your behalf. Therefore, God the Father has commanded that every knee should bow (Philippians 2:9-11).

Consequently, I’ve learned that everyone has been given choices (Deuteronomy 30:19); this privilege was granted to us, at creation, by the one whom we have been discussing. Each of us will do well, if we seek to make the right choices (Joshua 24:15): the right choice is to forever and always freely worship the Creator!
